Flip Flop Fluster

Hello Everyone! I haven't posted anything in a very long time. Sports and school can really consume a kid!

Yesterday began the dreaded school finals. I only had one thankfully. Monday I'm stuck with having my three hardest finals. Ughhh... I can't wait to get them over with! Right after the last one, around 1:15, students are free to leave. Summer, here I come!

Well, this morning before Mom left for work she asked me to sweep off our front sidewalk. I had better things I'd rather do, but I decided I probably should. I wanted to get it over with, so I quickly threw on some flip flops and headed out to the garage to choose a broom. After picking the largest one (which I assumed would cover more area quickly) I went to the sidewalk and started sweeping away. About halfway through the task, one of our neighbors passed on a golf cart. I smiled and waved. As soon as I looked back down at the sidewalk, I noticed I had on two different colored flip flops, one black and one bright blue. Since I was just at home, I didn't think much of it and continued sweeping. After a minute or two passed I realized I SHOULD think something of it. Not only was I at home, but I was in complete view of all of my neighbors. Rather than my neighbors getting my stupidity of choosing flip flops confused for a new teen trend, I quickly threw my shoes up on the porch and continued the work bare foot.

It's funny because usually you think since you're at home, you can where whatever the world want. But when you are surrounded by the homes of your neighbors/friends, it's a little different. It sure makes things interesting though!

Tomorrow is Friday! WOO...That means it is the start of spring break. I'm sooo happy to get a week off of school. Although the majority of Montgomery will be in Florida, I'm sure I'll find some fun things to do. Mindi is stuck here too, so we'll make a great time of the week off.

I've been babysit a lot lately. I'm hoping to babysit some more over the break. I know I have to babysit from 9 am to 5 pm on this Saturday. So it's a good start for the week :)

I probably won't get the chance to post tomorrow, so have a great weekend everyone!

YAY, it's the weekend! Last night after Mindi got out of practice we went to Wal-Mart. After that, we went out to a friend's house for a while. When we got back to her house we ate some cereal and then got ready for bed. This morning she had practice at 8. I woke up when she did and watched The Dark Knight with her mom and two younger cousins. I LOVE that movie. Heath Ledger did an amazing job playing the part of the Joker. (Even though it is a very creepy role). I was going to go to Wal-Mart with Mindi's mom and grandma, but I am sick so I just had them drop me off at home. I had a lot of work to do on my room; It was very messy. About halfway through cleaning it, my uncle Tim called and asked if I wanted to go eat lunch somewhere. Of course told him I wanted to. So, he came and got me, and we went to Knepp's. It was delicious. Now I am back at home typing an English paper. Yuck.

Mom gets back tomorrow!! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

This blog thing is a lot harder to keep up with than I thought!

I had a very fun and busy weekend. Friday night I went to Mindi's house and played a game called 'Buzz' with her family. It is one of those game-show type games that plug into the T.V. It was a lot of fun. After that we went to Wal-Mart and Taco Bell. Saturday I had to babysit from 9 am to about 2 pm. The kids were great! That evening I ate at Redbone's (for the first time!) with Mindi and her family. I had a catfish sandwich. It was AMAZING. After that we went to a friend's house to hang out and talk. Sunday after church, Mindi, Blake, and Matt came over so we could film our video for Spanish. It went a lot faster than planned. Then on Sunday evening I went to Mindi's for dinner. We played outside with bubbles for over an hour. Cool, right? :) At 8 I went to a youth get together at Kevin and Abby Yoder's. Their house is so pretty! It was fun. Then I had to come home and work on my English speech. YUCK!

OHH my goodness. What an exciting game last night! Barr-Reeve definitely got off to a rough start, but managed to pull back towards the end. I just can't believe they didn't count Trey's shot. It was very disappointing :(

After the game, Shaelin, Me, Ashley, and Heather decided to go to Subway. It was pretty good :) After that we went back to Ashley's for a while..Then Shaelin and I went back to her house to stay. Steve made his famous breakfast tacos for breakfast this morning. They were AMAZING.

Now I'm back at home, and getting ready to go run. Yay....
At least it's nice out! :)

First Post

After seeing how much my mom and everyone else enjoy their blog, I thought I'd get my own :)

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow! The boys' sectional game starts at 6 at North Daviess. I'm really hoping we will win. Last year it was a blast. I always love getting dressed up for the game. It's weird not having brothers play, but it is still just as fun :)

I just got home from helping out at the Jr. High volleyball open gym. Those girls are so much fun! Next volleyball season should be a blast.
